The very old Vader Loop Well backup generator is being replace with a modern device matching the type of backup generator used for the Ski Doo Well and the Smiley Creek Firehouse. Based on multiple proposals, a new generator has been ordered on an expidited basis. It's anticipated the new generator will arrive at our contractor within the next ten days -- before the end of April. During that time, the contractor will come back to Smiley Creek to further plan the installation. We anticipate having the new backup operational by mid-May.

In case of a power outage, it’s a good idea to keep a back-up supply of, at least, drinking water until the generator is operating.
